Upon arriving at Big Cedar Lodge you will find a string of buildings: Registration, Spa, Worman House, Truman House, Carriage House and others, greeting you with the Tudor-style retreats made of stone and stucco taken from original designs built 1920.
Tucked away in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Big Cedar Lodge was occupied by Native Americans for over a century. Shortly after the turn of the twentieth century, railroads expanded through the area, transforming this everyday world into a vacation paradise.
In the 1920s, two Missouri natives, business entrepreneur Jude Simmons and Frisco Railroad executive Harry Worman, acquired 300 acres of forest and built lavish country resort homes on the land known as Big Cedar Hollow along the White River.
Simmons created a log mansion, while Worman constructed a Tudor-style retreat made of stone and stucco. Both...
For me my passion for photography lies in itβs creativity abilities. I am inspired by being able to capture stunning sunsets and beautiful nature scenes thats what draws me everyday to have my camera in hand and find the beauty in everything. I think landscape photography was my first love but love the challenges of Macro photography, and Wildlife shots. Learning new techniques and new ways to use post-processing to enhance photography keep me learning and studying this fascinating Art of photography . Thank you for viewing!
