Photographed in Illinois garden Pink Tree Peony
Topaz Studio & Topaz Impressions along with textures used for an artistic enhancement
Ruffled, pink petals surround bright yellow centers. It takes a few seasons for these blossoms to reach their full potential, but you will be amply rewarded for your patience.
Tree peonies are long-lived deciduous woody shrubs native to China that will grow in USDA zones 4-9. There are several wild species which have contributed genetics to the cultivated tree peony. The mid to late spring blossoms of tree peonies are unrivaled in size, color and fragrance. Though somewhat slow growing, a mature tree peony can have over fifty, 8-10’’ flowers and will bloom for about two weeks. Tree peonies are deer resistant and fairly drought tolerant once established. Plant in well drained fertile soil with 5-6 hours of sun. Tree peonies bloom on ‘old wood’ and are not cut back in the fall.
For me my passion for photography lies in it’s creativity abilities. I am inspired by being able to capture stunning sunsets and beautiful nature scenes thats what draws me everyday to have my camera in hand and find the beauty in everything. I think landscape photography was my first love but love the challenges of Macro photography, and Wildlife shots. Learning new techniques and new ways to use post-processing to enhance photography keep me learning and studying this fascinating Art of photography . Thank you for viewing!

You have a 'Boston' in you avatar picture so I MUST like everything you do. Actually, some fine work in your port. I particularly like your flower portraits. This one immediately caught my eye.
